A Washington County, RI, family reports watching a saucer-like, hovering object with “three lights in a horizontal alignment” that eventually drifted behind a tree line about 2:30 a.m. on July 2, 2012, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.
The couple’s son first observed the object as he looked out a second floor bathroom window and then alerted his parents.
“The object was stationary, not moving at all,” the reporting witness stated. “It had three lights in a horizontal alignment, but rather close together. The middle light was pink or light red, and the light on each side of it was a pale shade of yellowish green. The pink light was blinking or flashing on and off irregularly. Object was in a horizontal or flat shape, more linear or disc (saucer-like?) than anything else.”
The object hovered in an area of the sky where it could be observed for about 10 minutes before moving behind a tree line.
